Upholsterers work as an assembly team to manufacture sofas, loveseats, and chairs. This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high quality standards. The training period is typically 6 to 8 weeks before full production capacity (and pay) is realized.

Upholsters one section of sofa, chair, or furniture frames, using the following methods:
