Accounts Receivable Manager

 

Job Summary:

Lead and motivate a group that assists both internal and external customers with accounts receivable related matters utilizing excellent communication and negotiation skills while fostering relationships and exhibiting professionalism and trustworthiness.   

Summary of Essential Functions:

  • Supervise a staff of A/R and Collections Specialists, and Billing/Credit clerks
  • Acting as the initial escalation point for related work items
  • Train, mentor and coach new and current department employees, including the drafting of employees’ quarterly feedback documentation
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting of collection-related activities
  • Generating and distributing correspondence and reports to assist in collections process
  • Assist with weekly/monthly/annual reporting
  • Providing oversight of the Company’s collections portfolio
  • Working closely with other departments and groups to resolve issues and exceed dealers’ service expectations
  • Delivering excellent communications across the organization, both written and verbal
  • Play a lead role in the efforts to improve billing automation
  • Reconcile customer accounts and general ledger accounts
  • Maintaining poise and professionalism
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • All positions require a close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment between several different departments
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel
  • Ability to interact with employees of all levels and backgrounds
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience leading a team in a high transaction environment, as well as full knowledge of the AR/Collections accounting cycle is required
  • Experience with factoring, preferred
  • Ability to adapt, adjust, conquer and over-come challenges
