Director of Logistics


Director of Logistics - supply chain management manages all aspects of scheduling, inventory, shipping and receiving; designs and executes strategies and plans to meet company’s short-term and long-term supply chain management/production control requirements.  The Director has responsibilities for multiple plants and locations within his/her responsibilities.


  • Implement a fully functional supply chain management/production control infrastructure.
  • Maintenance and accuracy of data in computer system (input and issuance from inventory, labor reporting, etc.)
  • Inventory control for the Shipping Department.
  • Forecasting shipping demands.
  • All aspects of distribution and logistics.
  • All aspects of shipping and receiving.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and techniques and process improvements throughout areas of responsibility.


  • This position manages all employees of the departments and is responsible for the performance management of the employees within that department.
  • This position is responsible for all inbound/outbound product and materials.


  • 4-year degree, with minimum 5-7 years production control/supply chain management experience.
  • Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field preferred.
  • Experience with purchasing, expediting, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and relevant software applications.


  • Demonstrated Project Management experience required.
  • Demonstrated Performance Management experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) to peers and employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve complex shipping/logistics challenges and formulate solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple employees in different locations.
