SUMMARY OF THE POSITION:

The candidate for this salaried position must be dependable and have strong Excel skills.  Also, they need to have an understanding of the general payroll process. Discretion, confidentiality, dependability, attention to detail and accuracy are essential for success.  General knowledge of the General Ledger is a plus.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with Plant Payroll Clerks to collect production pay.
  • Use Macros to import time sheets into our payroll software.
  • Verify and balance timecard reports.
  • General Ledger payroll reporting to be completed in excel.
  • Maintain vacation and personal leave.
  • Processing monthly & weekly Journal entries that are payroll related.
  • Processing Commission Payrolls.
  • Other projects as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Proficient with Excel.
  • Associate degree in related field preferred.
  • 3+ years in an Accounting/Payroll function preferred.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS/OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • This position will require strong communications with various levels within the organization.
  • This position requires a close attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment between several different departments.
  • This position requires a strong sense of personal responsibility and ethics. 
  • Intermediate knowledge of excel and the ability to do intermediate math.
  • Ability to show up to work on-time, every day, and take direction.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
  • Ability to adapt, adjust, conquer, and over-come challenges.
